“ I ordered a pepperoni pizza slice. I became alarmed when I noticed there was just one pepperoni on the pizza and then found that most of them were hidden beneath the cheese layer. I believe this was done on purpose to give it a distinctive appearance. The pizza's cheese was spread equally throughout. The pie's frame was airy and slightly firm, and the sauce had a subtle tartness. I also had a New York strip steak sandwich. The steak itself was delicious and had a good charred aroma from the grill. The only issue I had was that it was cooked too well, which made it difficult to chew. The bread is lightly toasted, has a lovely golden color, and is still fluffy. The sandwich is served with sliced tomatoes, a little sweet grilled onions, and freshly chopped lettuce. Despite its simplicity, the sandwich had a pleasant flavor and texture. ”
“ This past early September marked the very first time trying the popular Mount Prospect eatery after taking my boys to a nearby indoor playground. Venue has a spacious dining area with an old school classic vibe, slot machines, extensive all-around menu with really good food (especially the pizza) at still reasonable prices and friendly service. A cool place to dine in for some good quality eats and family/kid friendly indeed. I live all the way up in Beach Park but if ever down in the area again, I'd highly consider stopping at Mr. Beef and Pizza again! I've always strived to support local and hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s). ”

“ Food was good but portions not as big as they use to be. Same decor as 26 yrs ago. Maybe it's the memory of the past that just didn't hold up to the present. If this wasn't a trip down memory lane for granddaughter to see where her mommy grew up and to visit some places she went yo as a kid; I would say we would be back to try it again. It was good just not the wow I remember. Don't let me sway you from not trying it, if we were still living in area or were coming back again, we would stop again just wouldn't make a special trip like this time. ”
“ LOVE this place! Fried mushrooms were amazing. The Sausage Pizza Slice was so cheesy and delicious. Honestly, I haven't had one bad thing on the menu yet! Salads, sandwiches and soups are soooo good as well. The only downfall here is I NEVER know what to order, so many good options. You have to try this spot, they wont let you down! ”

“ Cousin! As fans of The Bear, my wife and I felt obligated to grab some Italian beef before our flight out of O’Hare. With a name like Mr. Beef, how could we say “no?” We visited on a Friday evening and it was not super busy. There are ample tables for the busy hours. We were greeted at the counter and ordered from the large menu posted behind the counter. I got an Italian beef plate and a beer; my wife got a gyro plate and pop. Both dishes came with fries and were reasonably priced. The serving sizes were generous and the food was very good. I would go again and recommend it to folks seeking out this kind of food. ”
